3 Sites for Learning to Make Web Pages

1. Page Tutor
This site explains how to make a web page in basic terms of HTML and CSS. If you are new to building web pages, this site explains the in's and out's, why's and why not's of the web page concept with lessons that make its easier to follow by breaking it down. This site also offers an index and reference guides. It has visual aids to help guide you in the right direction. The only thing I had issues with with this site was the time it took to load each lesson. I think it would be faster to find a tutorial on YouTube. To visit this site, click on www.pagetutor.com.

2. Khan Academy

I absolutely love Khan Academy and have used it for many subjects when I need something explained to me in more detail. Khan Academy has several videos where they break down, step by step, how to build a website with HTML and CSS. The videos build on each other and are very detailed. The step by step videos show examples of how everything works such as, if you build this in.... this is what it's going to look like. I will definitely be back to Khan Academy to follow those steps for my web page. To check out Khan Academy, click https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/computer-programming/html-css/intro-to-html/v/making-webpages-intro.

3. HTML Goodies
HTML Goodies is a website designed for a computer minded individual. This site definitely explains how to go about creating a web page with HTML and CSS but it's not beginner friendly. It assumes you have some computer experience which is why I would reference back to Khan Academy for the actual website building. It doesn't display good visuals or examples and it doesn't really emphasize in detail how to build a website. It seems like it would be more of a refresher if you hadn't done it in a while. If you are just looking for pointers, then this site might be exactly what you are looking for but as of my experience currently in website development, this site is not great for me.
