3 Examples of Businesses Using Social Media

I found three business that are using social media to promote their products.

1. Volcom
Volcom, www.volcom.com, is a clothing company that I follow on Instagram. Even though they have other profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, their instagram profile keeps me motivated to get outside. Instagram allows the company to promote their product through pictures and short videos to their followers who can comment on their post. Along side of displaying their clothes on people who are actually using them how they were designed to be used, Volcom also promotes the causes they are trying to help such as creating a sustainable clean ocean through hashtags and videos that guide you to a site explaining how their company is helping the problem. To visit their social media site on Instagram, go to https://instagram.com/volcom/.

2. Jet Blue
Jet Blue, http://www.jetblue.com/ is a competitively priced airline that uses social media to get its followers involved with great deals, contests and facts about the airline such as wing length. They have social media profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, but the one I want to talk about it Twitter. Twitter is a social media site that allows people and companies to post small announcements call tweets, about what they are promoting in 140 characters or less and quit a few of those characters are used as hashtags. Post can include videos, pictures, or just a few sentences about the great deals that jet blue has to offer. Sometimes their offers extend only to their twitter followers. They also post travel ideas using their airline. To follow their twitter page, click on https://twitter.com/jetblue. Happy Tweeting!

3. Red Bull
Red Bull, www.redbull.com is an energy drink that highly promotes extreme sports and what better way to do that then on one of the highest used social media site available, Facebook. Facebook is a site where you can create a profile, post pictures, videos, share content, and keep up with family and friends. Business can use it promote their company and get their followers involved in contests or keep them updated on new products the company is offering. Red Bull likes to post videos of extreme sports, run polls, and get their followers involved in the Red Bull community. To visit Red Bull's Facebook page, click on https://www.facebook.com/redbull.
